Abstract

The project proposes a futureproof neighborhood of an open building system in order to deal with the housing shortage, a circular economy and changing needs in society. The dense neighborhood in Amsterdam Sloterdijk makes a connection to the Brettenzone and is completely built from a smart support system and demountable infill systems and components from a toolbox. The toolbox will be used by different architects to design a building block in collaboration with the users who can create their own home with pre-designed assemblies and start a sharing community based on shared values and interests.
