La plupart des méthodes exploitant les séries temporelles InSAR (interférométrie radar) présentent des caractéristiques similaires qui permettent de les classer en deux catégories de techniques. La première catégorie de techniques est basée sur des réflecteurs distribués (DS) pour la surveillance des déformations. Une façon courante de réduire la décorrélation des signaux consiste à sélectionner des interférogrammes avec des lignes de base spatiales et temporelles courtes (technique des small baselines subset, SBAS). La seconde catégorie est celle de l’approche PS (permanent/persistant scatterers), qui utilise des réflecteurs individuels dominant le signal à l’intérieur d’une cellule de résolution pour suivre la déformation dans le temps. Une technique avancée récente nous permet de combiner à la fois les PS et les DS pour surmonter la rareté des points identifiés pour l’estimation (technique PSDS combinant réflecteurs persistants et distribués). While many time-series interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) methods have been developed in the last 20 years, most of them share similar characteristics so that they can be categorized into two types of techniques based on how they account for signal decorrelations. The first category of techniques is based on distributed scatterers (DSs) for deformation monitoring. A common way of reducing signal decorrelations is to select interferograms with short spatial and temporal baselines (small baseline (SB) techniques). The second approach is permanent/persistent scatterer (PS) InSAR techniques, which use individual scatterers that dominate the signal from within a resolution cell to track deformation through time. A recent advanced technique allows us to combine both PSs and DSs to overcome the sparsity of identified points for estimation (the persistent scatterer–distributed scatterer (PSDS) technique). The research and improvement of methods to be used for deformation measurements from space is a challenge. From the previous 20 years, time series Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) interferometry techniques have proved for their ability to provide millimeter-scale deformation measurements over time. This paper aims to provide a review of such techniques developed in the last twenty years. We first recall the background of interferometric SAR (InSAR). We then provide an overview of the InSAR time series methods developed in the literature, describing their principles and advancements. Finally, we highlight challenges and future perspectives of the InSAR in the Big Data era.@en
