A new concept is developed for a medical rehabilitation device. User research, literature review, market analysis, and expert interviews are done to inform design requirements and spark ideas. Ideation uses brainstorm, sketches, and rapid prototyping to explore possible mechanisms to achieve desired affects. These mechanisms are formed into 3 devices that are then validated by a rehabilitation expert. With these insights, further development aims to improve function, form, usability, and efficacy. User tests are conducted with the final prototype, providing valuable feedback for the company to continue with.
