This paper presents a compressive introduction to the development of a simulation platform for smart multi-terminal DC micro-grid (sMTdc), this tool will facilitate the development of DC network to support a low-carbon sustainable electricity supply system. The simulation platform uses a compressive set of high-resolution (1-min) sub-models: generation (photovoltaic, wind power), demand (individual appliances) and battery energy storage system (BESS). A Quasi-dynamic simulation approach using optimal power flow (OPF) to minimize the system losses is used to obtain the voltage profile, power losses and state of charge of the BESS. The simulation platform has been used to shows the performance of an illustrative/demonstrative sMTdc based on 3 DC-Houses.@en
