A Tour de France cyclist would not choose the same bike as a teenager. However, despite their differences, they usually take the same paracetamol tablet when sick. Over 75% of paediatric prescriptions in North America and Europe are 'off-label,' meaning children often receive medications never explicitly tested for their age group (Rieder, 2019). Fortunately, personalised medicine is moving us closer to more precise and predictable health care customised for the individual patient.

This graduation project proposes optimisations to the current printing process. The key proposal is to rapidly solidify the liquid formulation and maintain it at the required temperature. This approach reduces the time needed to transition from mixing the formulation to printing the tablets while ensuring the stability of the medical ingredients.
