Abstract

The frequency bandwidth is possibly the only resource widely available in the THz spectrum which is actually underused. However, theoretical and technological breakthroughs are needed in order to exploit this bandwidth for the realization of truly large imaging cameras in the THz regime. This contribution will introduce a theoretical breakthrough that will be adopted for the development of novel antenna array architectures suited for broadband and non-dispersive THz sensing systems. The goal is achieved exploiting in the same systems the key properties of two architectures that were pioneered in the last ten years: connected arrays and the leaky lenses antennas.
