Abstract

Sequential measuring of BSM elements using polarization re-swichting has limitations. The correct 'simultaneous' estimation of the co-ordinates and polarization parameters of nonstable objects is possible if a pair of 'orthogonal in time' compound signals is illuminated as orthogonal polarization components. Estimates of BSM elements are formed at the output of four matched filters as the result of two-channel reception of the scattered signal orthogonal components. Block-diagrams and algorithms of such signal processing are given in the paper.
