Recently, with the rapid development of the economy in China, the process of urbanization is accelerating. However, in the fast urbanization process, the government's rapid expansion of the space has resulted in a large number of urban villages emerging. These urban villages locate inside the downtown area but the situation in there is different from the surrounding urban areas. These urban villages cause problems to the social security and community environment.
The intelligent management and regeneration of urban village helps to optimize the urban land resources, improving urban appearance, and enhance the quality of life in villages and the city.
Harbin is one of the largest cities in China. Since the reform and open-up in the 1970s in China, Harbin has developed rapidly. With the rapid development of the economy and urbanization process, the problem of the urban village appears in Harbin.

In this thesis, the usage of scenarios for the participatory application of ADM is investigated in the context of the Paraná Delta, in Argentina. The focus is two-fold: (1) the research focuses on how a participatory design for ADM can be made, and (2) it focuses on which moment of the framework scenarios should be introduced in the participatory ADM

This thesis aims to analyze the city branding practices related to Ecological Modernization of cities in Hunan province and Hubei province, which are both located in the Central Region of China.

"Ecological modernization" derives from the discussion over the global warming and environmental deterioration. All these changes are accused of the over-rapid progress of urbanization. As one of the fastest-growing countries, the developmental way of China attracts wide attention. Heilongjiang lies in the northernmost part of China and possesses affluent natural resources. This, especially, requires that the local production should be based on the advanced technology to preserve environment and conserve resources.

This research looks into the internet bike rental (a newly-emerged bike sharing system) with the aim of demonstrating its development in Hangzhou and identifying the potential solutions that could alleviate the current issues it encounters. The theoretical frameworks of Strategic Niche Management (SNM) and Multi-Level Perspective (MLP) are applied to analyze the breakthrough of the internet bike rental in Hangzhou. On the basis of these two frameworks, this research starts from the analysis of the external environment (landscape and regime) of the internet bike rental to identify the factors that could either stimulate or impede its development. Then, this research looks deep into the development of the internet bike rental to analyze the (niche) internal processes, identify the issues it currently encounters and provide suggestions to address these issues.
